There’s been lots of movement in our household over the past few months. After moving the guest room downstairs to the 1st floor (Jason’s former office: emptied, re-painted, re-furnished, etc.), re-painting the old guest room upstairs, turning it into our new bedroom (different paint color, same process) and emptying out our old bedroom to make room for baby, it’s finally time to get the nursery ready. So today I ventured out to my favorite fabric store downtown in search of the perfect material for baby’s bedding. Tonight, Jason and I made a trip to Lowe’s for paint and all of the necessary supplies for this weekend’s transformation. The nursery won’t be done by Monday or anything, but the walls should be a different color by then.
With a blog post a day to keep me busy for a while, I’ll keep the progress updates and photos coming. In the meantime (although I did not successfully discover THE material for the nursery this afternoon), I thought I’d share a little textile love for those of you who, like me, enjoy imagining what could evolve from a bolt of fabric or two. Aren’t some of these cheery?!
And one last photo from the day…our loot from the Lowe’s run. Paint, chalkboard paint, rollers, tape, trays, a sander…let the fun begin!
Tomorrow, we’re down to double digits. Exciting! And I’ll be getting the house ready to welcome Dad and his painting skills for the weekend. Good thing Kruger and Baby K will be on hand–we’ve got a lot of work to do 🙂
rolling up my sleeves,
