So…I’m watching the snow form beautiful, swirly patterns all over the front yard and on the windows and in the light of the lamppost at the end of the driveway. Kruger just came in from outside looking like the abominable snow-pup, and my mug is poised for tea in the morning. Naturally, on a night like tonight, I’m perusing inspirational sites and checking up on all of the latest posts from my favorite bloggers. It feels like the perfect time share a little link-love. I can’t help but oooh and ahhh at all of the ideas and creativity coming through my computer screen as of late.
Things like:
-The gallery at Project Nursery. No matter your taste in nursery decor, someone here has done in it in a way that will inspire new thoughts and plans. New rooms are updated often–and they run the gamut, from completely ornate and WAY expensive to practical and cute on a budget. If you’re expecting, browse. 🙂 Plus, it’s husband friendly.
–These diaper bags. Petunia Pickle Bottom. Seriously? By name alone I wanted one before I ever laid eyes on them. And then I visited their site. I kind of just keep hoping that the diaper bag fairies put one under my pillow.
-For everything you might need or want to know about the top-rated [insert baby item here], babble.com is fantastic. Without paying for consumer reports on strollers and car seats and carriers and, and, and…this site organizes all of the feedback you might want from moms and dads who have gone before, without being overwhelming. Brilliant.
-To swaddle or not to swaddle? How could one resist with any of these on hand? Comfy, breathable, adorable, practical. Ahhh.
-I have to have a little girl someday because…these exist. If this little peanut is an adorable baby boy, I’ll find wonderfully handsome things to dress him in…but I will, at some stage, have to have an excuse for a pair of these to make their way around the house. Ohmygoodness, why didn’t I dream them up?! There is not a style I don’t love.
-For bedding inspiration? Here. And here. Oh, and here and here.
-And finally, for a little photography fix before the evening is out, this site. And this one, belonging to the oh-so-fabulous Jen Doornbos, who will be capturing our little budding family (and belly) this coming weekend. Can. Not. Wait.
Surely, some of these will color up an otherwise whitewashed world on an eve like this 🙂
inspired and cozy warm,
mm

Hey Molly! This is quite random, but I stumbled upon this photographer’s website over winter break and fell in love with her work. She does phenomenal childrens portraits as well as family, pregnancy, and weddings. So fun! http://www.julieharrisportraits.com/index2.php#/gallery3/1/

I LOVE the name “Petunia Picklebottom”!!!! I want it to be a children’s book title about a little girl named Petunia who often gets into a pickle, and she should have green hair. And don’t worry about purchasing too many swaddlers…i’m sure i’ll be sewing many for baby K. xo
