A promise is a promise, so tonight, it’s time to reveal the nursery! This room has been such a labor of love; between Jason and I planning and plotting, grandparents contributing, countless hours sanding and painting, weekends spent putting things together and rearranging, loads of laundry, and all kinds of gifts and gestures from friends and family in honor of the babe, we’re feeling so ready and so blessed to have this space waiting for our little bundle. I’m going to let the pictures do most of the talking tonight. Although I didn’t capture the room in my favorite light of the day (main windows are east-facing, and mornings are glorious in this space!), the evening light is kind of cozy. We’ll have plenty more photos when baby arrives and we’re capturing his or her every moment!
Without further ado:

6′ tall giraffe, made by a few very talented friends to match the giraffes in the bumper fabric. perfect.

rock-a-bye-baby. this is the rocker jason was rocked in as a child. the cushions and ottoman will arrive when baby gets here and grandma t comes to meet him or her 🙂

baby’s bouncer and bookshelf. the books are a mix of new titles and ones j and i both owned growing up. can’t wait to read to the baby!

bouncer, bookshelf and crib with custom bedding (thank you, grandma t!) the void above the crib will soon have baby’s name on the wall…but it’s hard to do anything about that just yet 🙂
And one more pic as also promised…

the belly, late at night before the giraffe was put up on the wall. we don’t have too many belly pics as of late, but i liked this one. i look tired, but happy. and that’s pretty much how i feel.
Soooo, that’s exactly what things will look like (the room, not my belly, I hope), when we bring the peanut home in the next few weeks. Aside from baby’s name above the crib, cushions for the rocker and a scripture verse (which we’ll decide on when we meet the little one) for above the nook, we’re all set to go. Now all we need is a baby!
officially nested. and likely to be nesting some more,
mm
It is absolutely beautiful Molly and this little one is so blessed to be in this space because this is where you and J will show it so much love and countless prayers I know.
Can’t wait for the countdown to continue!
When I have a baby someday, can you come be my decorator?? It’s truly perfect and I can’t wait to meet the little one in just a few months when I’m in town! 🙂
You should have a guessing game as to how many giraffes are in that room! (Minus the ones on the bedding, of course)
yeah, the nursery looks like it’s from a magazine. GOREGOUS! i love everything! i just want to come take a little nap in there myself.
um hi. i can spell “Gorgeous”.
Thanks, Ladies! You all make me feel so loved..and I’m glad you love the nursery, too. We hope Baby K will be more than comfortable there soon:) Kate, the nursery would welcome a visit! Beth…great idea on the giraffe contest. I’ll have to count them. Bec, you’re welcome to come over for a nap. And Bekah, why oh why were you up so late? We might have to have middle of the night feeding phone calls someday in the near future, no?
Love to each of you!!
I LOVE the wooden giraffe! It came out perfect. I never doubted that you and Jason would create the perfect nursery for your little one. Its so sweet.
