Big Idea Entertainment just recently released their newest DVD, VeggieTales®: The Penniless Princess – God’s Little Girl, and they were kind enough to offer me a copy to give away here at mollymadonna.com! I wish I could tell you that Henry and I snuggled up on the couch with a bowl of popcorn to watch the latest and greatest from Veggie Tales, but between traveling cross-country with the munchkin, visiting with and loving on my sister and sweet new niece (!), and looking after an ill kiddo far away from home, I’ve just not been able to sneak in a preview to give you the Penniless Princess play-by-play. What I can tell you is that Veggie Tales never disappoints, so I’m certain that this latest, family-friendly release would be a grand addition to your living room entertainment repertoire. I’m delighted to be able to give a copy away to you!
So…what’s it all about, you ask? Here’s BIE’s synopsis for you:
In this Veggie-version of the children’s book A Little Princess, by Frances Hodgson Burnett, Larry the Cucumber stars as Captain Crew and helps to teach an important lesson about knowing your own true worth to his young daughter, Sarah, even if only through his spirit.
Sweet Sarah has everything a little girl could want. But when life takes a turn and she goes from riches to rags, will she realize that her true worth lies not in what she has, but what she has in her heart?
Find out in this inspiring new story from VeggieTales® that reminds kids it’s who they are inside that really counts. This inspiring tale is sure to warm the hearts of children everywhere!…
Who wouldn’t want to reiterate such an important message to the little ones they love? I can tell you this much…after snuggling Hank and freshly arrived little Emmelia this week, I’m feeling the call to raise our children (and to love the children around us) as conscientiously as ever before. These are too dear of souls to care for them any other way. To me, this includes carefully choosing the material we expose them to in our homes and on tv. I’ll never hesitate to share a Veggie Tales movie with HD–they are always uplifting and entertaining, and they’re welcome in our household for the long haul!
If your kiddos (or grand kiddos, nieces, nephews, babysitting charges, etc.) would love their very own a copy of Veggie Tales: The Penniless Princess – God’s Little Girl, leave a comment below sharing what you love about your little one/s on the inside–then be sure to tell them while you’re at it, too:) For extra entries, feel free to subscribe to mollymadonna.com and/or like mollymadonna.com on Facebook. Please leave a separate comment for each entry, so you’ll get all the credit you deserve;)
I can’t wait to hear all of the ways you celebrate the little ones you love! This giveaway will close Sept. 12th at 5pm, and I’ll announce a winner the following day. Looking forward to connecting with all of you soon when we return from our Colorado adventure!
blessings (and good luck!),

Miss Emmelia is brand new, so I can’t tell you too much about her insides just yet. However, she exhibited tremendous patience hanging out with her velcro shades under the jaundice lights. She also waits patiently to fill her diaper until approximately 30 seconds after we start changing her. Oh, and she doesn’t ball her eyes out when we oversleep our alarm to feed her in the middle of the night. All that to say that Emmelia is a very patient soul, and we adore her. Ooh, and one last thing, she is sweet enough to make her Pa tear up in an instant. What a doll!
