I woke up this morning with a song running though my head. I love when that happens. I like to consider it kind of a theme for my day, and when it’s a worship song, I try to make it my meditation until the next time my head hits the pillow.
Today, the lyrics below were the first words that came to mind as my feet hit the floor. As it’s Sunday, and a day when I’m reminded of the importance of rest (even when I don’t rest as I should), I thought I’d share this grace…words of our Lord and King coming to earth to make us (and all things) new.
I hope you’ll take a moment as you wind down your week (or in the morning as you begin your week anew) to meditate on these lyrics or to listen to the song below.
I don’t know about you, but for me, intentional worship is one of the first things to fall by the wayside in a busy season like this one. Let’s spur each other on to make time for what matters most in the coming days and share in the grace of rest together. #gracefuldecember might just feel more graceful when we do!

Emmanuel
Holy holy I will bow before
My Lord and King
Hallelujah You have come to us
You make all things new
Emmanuel, Jesus Christ
you’ll never let me go
My shepherd King
You’re watching over me
Emmanuel
So amazing, You have named the stars
Of the deepest night
Still you love me
You have called my name
I will follow you
Holy Holy God Almighty
There is none like you
Holy Holy God Almighty
There is none like you
Emmanuel…
